"The poems in this book really provides a connection to the authors soul, which in many of the writings mimic my own battles, victories and thoughts. "The title of the book is very direct and the cover leaves no subliminal messages. When you start to read the book, Jacob provides you more depth to the direction behind his words. One point that stood out the most for me was that his grammar was purposely left in the manner that he originally wrote them. That alone made me feel even more comfortable to know that he is content with his imperfections.
As I read through his stories, each had its own passion that could be felt. Like anything else that has a good story line, you can visiualize the characters or the mood in which Jacob experienced. I'm a sucka for love and his heart poured out the ups and downs of any type of relationship. My most favorite poem (although all are beautifully written) is "God is my DJ" (forgive me if thats not the correct title.) At the time of my coming across that poem, it came at the right time! His writings are relatable to everyone from all aspects of life. The messages can help lift your spririts and provide further insight from another point of view.
Expect the unexpected, because this brotha's knowledge is profound. In due time, he will be listed as one of the GREATS that's done it and doing it!" - Jacqulyne
